Metallization Pastes

With more than 40 years of experience and expertise the Thick Film Materials Division of W. C. Heraeus is one of the leading manufacturers of materials for the decoration of ceramics and glass as well as materials for the electronic/semiconductor industry. Besides other products we offer a broad range of thick film pastes, precious metal powders, LTCC products, photoetchable pastes and materials for fuel cells. Especially the know-how received in the development of conductive pastes, can be used in the photovoltaic industry.

The Photovoltaics Business Unit of W. C. Heraeus offers products which are used to apply electrical contacts to wafers based solar cells and specially formulated to provide higher efficiencies and wider processing windows, resulting in better yields and higher output for cell manufacturers. The HeraSol^TM compositions are a series of screen printable front and back side silver conductors and already qualified in the market by leading solar cell manufacturers.

The pastes are all cadmium-free and tailored solutions for either SiNx or TiOx anti-reflective coatings. Additional formulations are available which allow the use of our materials as inks or suspensions and can be applied by Aerosol or Ink jetting, dipping or decals used in manufacturing silicon based solar cells.
